About

Biography: My name is Bobbi. I’m in my late 20′s. Like most artists around on the net, I’ve been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. Though, I really didn’t feel that my work was any “good” until relatively recently on the timeline. I still have so much more room to grow! I don’t find it to be something to be ashamed of. Instead, it’s exciting! I never know what my work is going to be like one, five, or ten years down the road!

I live in Northeast Ohio, and have done so for most of my life. When I’m not spending my time at my computer working on art, design, or websites, I enjoy playing video games, getting some good exercise, or going to various comic/animation conventions when I have the chance. I’ve been doing the aforementioned since 2002. I also enjoy making costumes of my favorite comic. animation and game characters and dressing up at said conventions. Namely though, I prefer to coordinate costume competitions at conventions or at least judge them (I’ve had several years of experience with that too). Making costumes has definitely given me an observant eye for clothing and costume design on characters or people I may be drawing!

Art and creativity is a great way to live, but sadly, it doesn’t pay my bills. So, I work whatever retail jobs I can in this rocky economy (also, like many artists I know.)

Art and Design I’m namely a digital 2D artist, though I try to get my hands into just about everything I possibly can. I’m well-rounded in various traditional mediums including ink, markers, pencil, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic. I’ve also dabbled in sculpture, 3D digital art (texturing is probably my specialty though). I’ve also been designing webpages for over a decade. I don’t feel complete unless I have a domain or two somewhere. Profiles just don’t cut it as far as web-presence goes! I’m also a pixel artist, and do a great deal of work on items for my other website, Avaricia.

I’ve taken classes for both graphic design and fine arts. This is where my educational expertise lies. However, due to the economy and so many other factors, I haven’t been able to finish my degree just yet. I hope to go back to school and finally finish my graphic design degree in the near future. Eventually, I would like to making a living doing graphic design and then do comics and illustration on the side!

Photography I don’t have any expensive equipment, and I don’t take a lot of pictures. But when I do, I get a lot of enjoyment out of doing so. The photography that exists here is merely just from a hobbyist standpoint. I’ve always wanted a nice DSLR camera… but it’s either a debate between an expensive art program or a camera! Maybe someday!

Commission and Freelance Work: I’ve done a good deal of commission and freelance work over the years. Commissions range from fanart of one’s favorite characters, their original characters, or mascot designs. I’ve done freelance work involving both artwork and webdesign for conventions, businesses, and personal use. Contact me if interested!
